ALL PARTY PARLIAMENTARY GROUP (APPG)
The British Parliamentary Awards All-Party Parliamentary Group APPG consists of Members of both Houses who have joined together to achieve the following objectives:
- To recognise the most influential men and women in Britain by bringing together the 100 highest achieving individuals who, through best practice, have set a benchmark for the rest of their sector to follow.
- To utilise the scale of influence of each of the 100 British Parliamentary Awards finalists to highlight British expertise and excellence as part of a new global campaign to promote the best of British skills worldwide.
- To utilise the 100 British Parliamentary Awards finalists to inspire and motivate school children to develop positive attitudes, to overcome difficulties and to believe anything is possible with hard work, determination and resilience.
- To overcome the current disconnect between the public and Parliament by utilising the British Parliamentary Awards to increase public understanding and engagement with the work of Parliament, thereby encouraging more people to come into contact with, engage and build strong relationships with Parliament and Parliamentarians
